Planed Oak Beam - 2440mm Length

These hand crafted oak beams are perfect for fire place surrounds. As oak is a natural material, and so you will inevitably get some knots, splits and cracks. These beams have been planed on all edges, however they may require further sanding/oiling to achieve your desired finish. By ordering the destressing service with your product you can have it supplied with an ‘adzed’ finish, which is done to remove any imperfections such as open knots and waney edges. We offer random waney adzing which will be done on 2 front edges leaving you with square edge to go against the wall for firm installation.
